My favorite digital market places to find brushes, patterns & palettes

Hello my fellow digital art lover. Maybe your just getting started with digital art or prehaps your just looking for some new tools to excite your creativity and new projects. Either ways here’s a round up of all my favorite digital market places and vendors for brushes, color palette, patterns & more! Hope you enjoy!

Design Cuts

This is my go to spot. I’m probably on this website at least every other week. (It’s a small obsession, I know, I’m trying) There is a huge variety of product here from procreate brushes to mock-up photos to fonts. If it’s a category in the digital world it’s on this site. Another reason it’s a favorite of mine? They’ve curated top products by top creators. You don’t have to worry about getting lame brushes that don’t quite work or that don’t quite match the product description. They also have top notch customer service if you have any questions or concerns they’re on top of it.

They also have new in Summer 2024, the Creative Club. It’s similar to a Skillshare platform but better. They have a community feature and all the courses are vetted before entering the market. The course creators are often the big names that are selling products in the market place too.

They only thing to be aware of is this site in based in the UK. So sometimes events and sales will start and end at odd times if your here in the USA like I am. I’ve never really had a problem but sometimes I planned to purchase something after work and I log on to find that the sale has ended and I missed out.

Every Tuesday

Every Tuesday is a course creator and procreate shop run by the amazing Teela Cunningham. She is my guiding force when it comes to learning Procreate. Her classes are absolutely wonderful and her brushes are top notch. She’s one of those creators that they release anything and I buy it because I know it’s going to be amazing.

Her classes range from lettering to digital watercolor painting. In each course she also includes a brush set along with the extended license with the brushes so you can sell anything you create with them. In her shop you can also purchase the brush set’s individually. My go to sets of hers include the messy watercolor set, the bouquet maker brush set and the ink lovers brush set. I come back to these brushes for almost every project I use at least one.

Pretty Little lines

Similar to Every Tuesday I purchase many brushes from Kris Lauren of Pretty Little Lines. You can find her on both design cuts and her personal website. (I normally use Design Cuts because I want to keep all my downloads in one place just an fyi) Her brushes are also chefs kiss. Her classes are what inspired me to get back into character drawing and design. I use her character building brushes often to help me rough out a character before I add details.

My go to brushes of hers are the character brush boxes (people & animals), living watercolor bush set, and the flower tool brush boxes.

Nico Ng

This man is a genius when it comes to lettering forms and brushes. You can find his products on Design cuts and on his personal shop, but several products of his are exclusive to Design Cuts as of right now. His brushes and guides are designed for advanced lettering. he has a wide range of lettering brushes from bevel to watercolor to composition makers.

I enjoy styling new letters using his inspired lettering creative builder box set and I also really enjoy his floral composition brush set. While his tools aren’t ones I use every project I enjoy using his tools to add some flair to my lettering and final artworks.

Lisa Ganz

If you’ve started exploring into digital design or Procreate you’ve probably come across Lisa Ganz at one point or another. She famous for her color palette and adorable charcter designs. I love picking up some of her character brushes to again help beat creative block when staring at a blank screen. Highly recommend her courses as well. She has a great one about finding and defining your personal art style at help me a lot when I was first starting out.

ShoutBam

JImbo & Tea are the dynamic duo behind the brilliant and colorful designs of ShoutBam. Jimbo is also an excellent teacher when it comes to learning lettering in his colorful, edgy and energetic way. They have a shop on their website but they also make exclusive products on DesignCuts too. My latest obsession from their collection is the Letter Craft Calligraphy Toolkit. I also like to use the texture brushes from their product collect to give my work it dynamic textures and finishes.
